3 Months Old!

Well, as usual, time is flying by at lightning speed! Our little "newborn" daughter isn't so new anymore. This time has been bittersweet for us. We're now transitioning into 3-6 month clothes, which is so sad that she's too big for her newborn clothes. But there are some really great things we've been experiencing with this age, though.

1. Maleah is learning to go to sleep on her own. She's doing an AMAZING job of it (knock on wood). She cries for a few minutes, but almost always falls asleep by herself. Again, bittersweet because she doesn't need me much anymore, but it sure is nice to have that extra time sometimes.

2. She is LAUGHING now...full-on belly laughs. Super super cute! The laughs don't happen very often, but when they do, they're priceless!

3. She is beginning to get on a more regular schedule of sleeping and eating. Naps are getting longer, and she's going longer between feedings, too. Makes it a lot easier to anticipate and plan the day!

4. Her head is more stable now, so it's easier to hold her. She doesn't bobble around quite as much.

5. She's really taken an interest in toys and responds very happily to them. She's discovering that she can reach out and bat at them (sort of). It's very fun to watch her learn how things work.
