6 Months Old

At 6 months old, Maleah is still a tall, thin beauty. Here are her stats:

Height: 26 1/2 inches tall (75 %)
Weight: 14 lbs, 7 oz. (25%)
Head: 44 1/2 cm (90%)

When I took her in to the doctor, her weight had dropped, so Doc was concerned that she wasn't getting enough to eat. She had me nurse her and then feed her formula to see if she would take any more. Sure enough, she was still hungry after each nursing. I wasn't making enough milk! Poor thing has been starving for who knows how long. Let's just say that revelation was a low point in my motherhood.

So now I have to take Fenugreek to see if it will help bring my milk back. Fingers crossed!

Here's a bit about Maleah at 6 months:

• She is now FINALLY sleeping through the night! Yay! She went from waking every 2 hours to sleeping at least 10 hours---overnight! What a relief!
• She loves to be outside.
• She is still a momma's girl, but we've been working on it and she's doing a little bit better at being with other people.
• Got her first teeth on August 31...5 1/2 months old (see photo)
• She is a TALKER! She's started this new thing where she growls/coughs. Hard to explain, and kind of weird, but with her, everything's cute!
• She's finally growing a bit of hair. Every once in a while, it'll stick out and be messed up a little. It's nice that she has enough hair to have a bad hair day. But we still have a long way to go. Still can't tell what color it's going to be...red or blonde?
• Her right leg has a mind of its own! It never stops moving! (See photo)
• 
• Loves her brother; thinks he's the funniest guy in the world! He's really the only one who can get her to really do a full-on belly laugh. It's adorable.
• 
• Still as gorgeous as ever! Her eyelashes and big blue eyes still invite lots of comments from everyone who meets her.
  

I'm sorry; that's unconventional. I need to stop bragging, but we just love her so much. She makes every day so happy!
