Maleah is getting harder and harder to take pictures of. She doesn't sit still long enough to get any good photos, so once again, these are the best 5 month pictures we have! It doesn't help that our camera is finicky and turns off sporadically...and of course, it's always when she's holding still or smiling.
Here are some fun things about our cute 5-month-old:
- She's started eating solid foods, and loves them! Her favorite is bananas...just like her brother.
- She sticks her tongue out and blows raspberries, which is so cute! Her tongue is so tiny, and she gets this serious look on her face so that her brow wrinkles a little. We're still trying to catch a picture of it.
- She has a serious temper sometimes. She's definitely a squealer, and she arches her back and stiffens her legs when she's really mad. It's a sight to behold!
- She sucks her thumb quite frequently now, but doesn't do it like most kids. Instead of making a fist, she keeps all her fingers straight. It's really funny. We know she's tired when she sucks her thumb.
- She is a MAMA'S GIRL!! Lately she won't go to anyone besides Mom...even Dad. She does OK for a few minutes, but once she realizes it's not Mom holding her, she freaks.
- She still doesn't sleep through the night...not even close! As she gets older, she's actually been waking up more often to eat (about every 2 1/2 hours). It's really obnoxious, to be honest. Last night, she woke up at 10:45, 1:00, 2:30, 5:10, 6:00, and 6:40. I didn't feed her all those times, but it sure is hard to listen to her scream bloody murder for 20 minutes till she decides to go back to sleep. Needless to say, we're not getting a whole lot of sleep around here!
- She is MOBILE! If I leaver her on the ground in the living room, I'll find her in the kitchen about 3 minutes later. She just rolls, though. No crawling or attempts to crawl.
She is such a doll. We get comments constantly on this little one! When we're out, it's almost like we're with a celebrity. People point and stare and whisper and smile all the time. We are so lucky to have such a cute kid!
