White Thunder

We finally found a new car! It really was a Christmas miracle that we found it! We decided to take our van (to read up on it's history check our blog history) in to trade it for cash. Just before we left, Ben decided to call a dealer and just see what they had on their lot. Turns out they had just taken in a 1995 Toyota Corolla with 74,000 miles. It had been owned by an old lady that always parked it in the garage and didn't drive it much. It sounded far too good to be true as is the story with most used cars. We decided we would go take a look to see if it was real. When we got there, the sales person informed us that the tech in charge of the car had gone home for the night and taken the keys with him so we could not test drive it or look inside. We got to talking and, long story short, he offered us $1,000 more on trade than we had expected and Ben was able to talk him down on the price of the Toyota using his mad negotiating skills (and the fact that we hadn't been able to look at it or drive it as leverage). We bought the car without even looking at it (I know it sounds crazy!). They did an inspection on it the next day and detailed it for us and even threw on some new brakes. The Toyota aka "White Thunder" drives like a dream but it is slightly louder than the "Black Beauty" (our Accord) hence the name Thunder. We are very grateful to have found it.
