Well, it's official. We no longer have a baby in our house. Maleah is 1 year old! We had a great day celebrating her birthday today, even if she didn't know or care that it was her birthday!
When she opened her presents, she was more concerned with the wrapping paper than what was inside (typical baby--why did we even get her any presents??) She loved just tearing it into little pieces, then handing the pieces to Jaimason.
She got a new carseat for her birthday...the forward-facing, sit-up-like-a-big-girl kind. This was really the only present we got her, because we knew she'd be happy as a clam with it...and she was. We got her all strapped in and even took her for a ride around the neighborhood in her new carseat.
The cake was definitely the best part! I made a little ladybug cake for her smash cake.
She loved it!! I was worried that she wouldn't be interested because she was so tired, but I was wrong. Once she got a taste for the sweet stuff, she was all over that thing like butter on bread!
Let's just say she wasn't a happy camper when the cake and ice cream were gone!!

She is So beautiful! We're so happy she had a good first birthday! And boy do Maleah and Jaimason look like siblings in that last picture!
