Thanksgiving in Colorado

This year, we spent Thanksgiving in Colorado with Ben's family. We found plane tickets for an amazingly good deal and couldn't pass up the opportunity.

When his aunt Chris and uncle Jim's family from Utah heard we were going, they decided to visit Colorado at the same time so we could see each other. We are so glad they did. We love seeing them!

One of the days we were there, we decided to visit the Denver Zoo and had a great time. It was uncrowded, as it should be in November, so we had the rule of the roost.

Maleah loved it. She loves being outdoors, so this came as no surprise. Even though her hands were freezing and her "gubs" (gloves) kept falling off, she was happy as a clam. Jaimason loved it, too. We've been to the Denver zoo several times, but every time we go, we see something new and fun..or interesting. This time, it was a hippo with the runs....maybe not so new and fun. But Jaimason was with his uncle Jake, so life couldn't really get any better for him. He loves his uncle Jake.
Thanksgiving Day was a whirlwind, as usual. We enjoyed good food, good people, and good games. Maleah hammed it up for the camera, and grandma couldn't stop taking pictures of her. Here she is with Ben's aunt Chris:
And again with daddy. (P.S. Ben was participating in Mo-Vember where you grow facial hair in the month of November, so that's why he's all....hairy):
Here's the rest of the clan:
