Easter was a very enjoyable family affair this year. On Saturday, we dyed Easter eggs, an event Jaimason could not wait to do!
Luckily, we only broke 3 of 12 this year. We're making improvements! (We can blame it on the 4-year-old, but really it was all Shaunelle's doing). Here are a few of the masterpieces:Gotta have a BYU one!
That night, Jaimason had a hard time going to sleep for two reasons: 1) He was excited, and 2) He was nervous about the Easter bunny watching him sleep! He said he didn't want the bunny sneaking down the hall to see him. It took a lot of reassurance and soothing to get him to go to sleep.
Easter morning, 7:00 am. Jaimason's awake and ready to go. Good thing Mom had a mind enough to put the gate up in the hall before bed. Otherwise, we would have gone into the living room to see one happy little boy with a chocolate smeared face. Now, if you have a weak stomach, make sure to skip the next picture. Otherwise, here's Shaunelle and Jaimason after we crawled out of bed, DYING to go down the hall to see what damage the Easter bunny did.
Here's Jaimason, checking out the loot, which so happened to be an Easter book, an Easter CD, a bunny keychain that you could change faces on, and some SpongeBob animal crackers. I think the Easter bunny knew no more candy was allowed in THIS house.
Then, the hunt commenced:And.........20 minutes later, TA-DA! A full carton of eggs!
Afterwards, we went to church, which was made even more special by the fact that Mom and Dad got to teach Jaimason's primary class. Then it was off to Aunt Chris and Uncle Jim's house for dinner. It was a very nice day!
