Lagoon Day!

About a week and a half ago, my friend Gretel invited us to go to Lagoon with her and her kids. She had planned to go with her husband, but he got tied up across the country and she needed someone to help with her kids, so I went along.

We had a good day. The weather wasn't too hot that day; I don't think it got above 90. It was nice to spend time with our friends, who are actually moving this month.

Jaimason's first-ever ride was the Dino Drop. It's a ride that takes you up about 3 stories and then drops you, repeatedly. He was really good at putting on a brave face, even though he wasn't fooling anyone. He was scared out of his pants! However, being the big boy he is, decided to go again. After that, he was hooked on rides.

I thought this was so cute. Jaimason wanted to go on the "spoooky" ride, but as soon as we got on, this is what he looked like the whole time:

I just had to take a picture!

Rattlesnake Rapids was definitely a favorite! After waiting in line forever and a day, we finally go on the ride. You can't see it very well, but Jaimason got soaked! It's a ride that takes you on the "rapids" and at the end, you go underneath a waterfall. There are signs all along the way warning you that you will get soaked. And they were right, you do! But it's ok; it was a nice refreshing break from the heat! (pictured: [top] Jaimason and Sydney, Gretel's daughter; [bottom] Jaimason soaked to the bone!)
