So, we found out Tuesdays in August at Thanksgiving Point are just $2! Normally, it's like $15 and Jaimason's been dying to go, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take him there.
We had a great time. There was so much to see and learn, and they have a lot of fun stuff for kids to do, too. It's a great place. Unfortunately, we didn't have as much time as we would have liked. It closed at 8:00 pm, and as soon as it turned 8, they shut off the lights and started herding people out the door (like cows...I felt like "moo"ing!) But oh well. Here are some pictures. The lighting was too dark for just a flash, but too light for a nighttime setting, so the colors are weird, but what can you do?
Mom and Jaimason with a "long-neck" in the background.
T-Rex. Jaimason's favorite.
Saber-tooth tiger skull. Dad's favorite.
Baby Woolly Mammoth. Mom's favorite. You wouldn't believe how small this thing was! It was like a dog.
Dad and Jaimason under the belly of a "long-neck." These things are huge!! Unbelievable!
Dueling Pachycephalasaurus' (otherwise known as "bumpy-heads")
Our very own dinosaur. Look at that ferocious face!
Building an island for the dinosaurs in the Erosion Tables.
Just another ride on a "three-horn".
It's too bad this one is blurry! The look on Jaimason's face is priceless! He's trying to look scared, but looks a little constipated instead.
Saber-Tooth Tiger.
We were so scared, our eyes turned red! But seriously, imagine this thing coming at you in real life.
Dad and Jaimason with a Triceratops head. Pretty impressive!
A future paleontologist in the making.
Well, there it is! Our day at the Dinosaur Museum. The end.
