Happy Easter!

Easter this year turned out to be really fun! Since we have church at 8 am, we kindly asked the Easter Bunny if he could come DURING church, not before church, since we weren't too keen on waking up at 4 am to find eggs and goodies before we had to get ready. He obliged.

When we got home from church, the kids' Easter baskets were missing, but luckily there was an egg with a clue in it as to where they were! Jaimason was then sent on a wild goose chase (otherwise known as a scavenger hunt) for his basket. Finally he found it behind Maleah's rocking chair, thank goodness!

We forgot to leave out the eggs we dyed when we went to church, so the Easter Bunny just hid some plastic eggs filled with goodies instead. Maleah and Jaimason had so much fun finding the eggs and discovering what was inside.
Maleah found out that those things called jellybeans aren't too bad...and proceeded to eat about 3 pounds of them! She, of course, threw a fit when we had to take them away and begged for them the rest of the day. Silly sugar-aholic! (Don't mind her immodesty in the pictures. She drooled jellybean juice all over her cardigan, so we had to take it off!)

After we had found all the eggs and opened our loot, we headed over to our good friends, the Heaps', house to find even more eggs. Jaimason acquired about 50 extra eggs at their house as well, some of which included money!

Next, we rushed off to our other friends house, the Parkers, to have dinner and learn the Resurrection story. We were filled with good food and the Spirit as we talked about Christ's love and sacrifice for us.Darren Parker with all the kids, talking about the story of Christ's ressurection

At this time of year, we are so thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ and his tremendous suffering for our sins. We are thankful he was resurrected so we all can also be resurrected. I can't wait until the day when I can see my loved ones who have passed on already, particularly my dad and several grandpas and grandmas...on both sides. What an incredible gift to be able to have this knowledge of the Atonement and Resurrection.
