A Visit from the Grandmas

Great Grandma Cowley and Grandma Trenholm came for a surprise visit just a few days ago. Jaimason was completely unaware they were coming, so he got the surprise of a lifetime when he answered their knock on the door! He was stunned; he didn't know what to do but just stare before he came to his senses and gave them both giant hugs.

The best thing to do when you come to Texas is eat, so we did a lot of that. We showed them around the best eateries in Round Rock: Round Rock Donut, Chuy's, and Rudy's.


The highlight of the trip was our mini daycation to the LBJ ranch, Texas White House, and Fredericksburg.

There were so many interesting things to see at the LBJ Ranch and White House, where Lyndon B. Johnson grew up, worked, and eventually was buried.

We did some plastic cow-roping, where Jaimason and Ben showed off their mad skills.

Maleah just wanted to look at the animals. Some of them had "LBJ" and their number stamped on their horns.

The grandmas did what grandmas do best while they were here: take lots of pictures and spoil the kids rotten. Here are some other pictures of the kids they took:

We had a great time when they were here. I always love to have visitors. It breaks up the monotony of life and I don't get so lonely, obviously. So if anyone else wants to visit, we'd love to have you!
