Happy Halloween...2 weeks late!

Well, here they are: pictures from Halloween! (sorry for the delay, Moms!)

If you can't tell, Shaunelle is a pig, and Jaimason is an "orange pterodactyl."


We went trick-or-treating with our friends, the Marshall's. We decided to stay in our neighborhood, and we had a blast together! Jaimason and his friend, Lilly (who was a BYU cheerleader), would run up to the door, say trick-or-treat, and then ask if they wanted to see a trick. Most would laugh and say yes, and then Lilly would proceed to do a straddle jump she learned in gymnastics, while Jaimason would do a variety of tricks, his favorite being standing on one leg. At one point, Jaimason even opted to sing a song he learned at school! What cuties!


Both kids were so polite, and they said "Thank You, Happy Halloween" to everyone they got candy from. A couple of times, Jaimason would get so excited about the piece of candy he got, that he would run down to the sidewalk shouting "hey, Dad, I got a Rees (Reese's), just like you love!! You can have it!" or "Mom! Guess what? They let me have two pieces, so I can share one with you!" It was very generous. When he would remember that he had forgotten to say thank you, he'd fight his way through the crowds to get up to the porch to say thank you, right to their face. It really amazes me how thoughtful our little boy is. There was absolutely no selfishness on his part at all that night!


At one point, we came upon a spooky house that was playing haunted music. The kids got nervous to go up to the house, but eventually made their way up there. You could tell Jaimason was trying to be a man about it, and after, when Lilly confessed she was scared, Jaimason (ever the gentleman), took her by the hand and said "It's ok. I'll hold your hand. If you get scared, just remember to look the other way, and you won't see that house and remember it's even there."


The kids got lots of candy and compliments and had a really great time. It was nice to be able to spend time with our friends, who --even though they live across the street--we never see much!
