Hiking Day

Saturday was deemed Hiking Day by Ben. We've been meaning to go for a while, but just haven't gotten around to it. Luckily, Saturday's weather was fair, which means perfect hiking weather.

We had a great time. First we visited Cascade Springs in the Timponogos Mountains. They're a little off the beaten path, but they're natural springs that run for almost 2 miles under the mountain before surfacing.

There were even small Brown Trout living in one of them. (Look closely...they're there!)

We decided that because Cascade Springs didn't take us very long, we would hike to Stewart Falls, about a 2 mile hike. The hike there is fun and scenic, but the trail is very small and dusty...boy, is it dusty!

Jaimason walked the whole way and did a great job. He's been exercising his muscles so that one day he will be strong enough to walk around at Disneyland ALL DAY (or so he says).

Someone even had a premonition that we were coming and decided to leave us a little note:

The falls are a great break before hiking the 2 miles back. The water is pretty chilly (kinda takes your breath away), but even just the mist feels so refreshing.

Shaunelle even got brave and stood under the waterfall for a split second. Doesn't look like it in the picture, but she got pretty wet.

Here are some other pictures from our adventure:
