Another Summer Adventure

Last week we embarked on another last-minute summer adventure to Colorado to visit Ben's parents. Even though the trip was short, we had a great time (luckily we missed the massive tornado that ripped through the area just a week earlier...it demolished the town across the freeway from their house)! Jaimason had a blast following his uncle Jake around burning things with a magnifying glass and trying to catch a rabbit in the back yard. He also got some much needed grandma play time (it's hard to get time with him when aunt Camri or uncle Jake are around). Grandma got him some new Superman pajamas which he refused to take off...that is until he found a Ninja Turtles outfit in Jake's room. He wore the outfit briefly before Ben decided it was his turn to wear the shell. We also went to this great park nearby that has a huge woolly mammoth to climb on, tons of toys, and a cool waterfall/wading pool for the kids. We also found some half used ice blocks and gave that a try. Ben got some time to fly fish with his dad and we got to eat some yummy barbecue food at Ben's grandma's house. All-in-all it was a fun trip!
